What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Celebration

Going into town forces us to travel by/alongside/past trains and it has become an exciting game for Andrew to point out the choo-choo's when they are near. Thought I, a train cake would be fitting for this year number 2.

Thought I, if a boy has a train cake for his birthday, how much MORE fitting would it be to have a picnic dinner-at the train station?!?

And it was.

I loved Andrew's cake! It is so cute. Samuel just put his order in recently. I bought a Family Circle magazine a few weeks ago and on the cover were cute puppy cupcakes. Samuel has decided that for his birthday he wants orange cupcakes (like his hair) with puppies on top. I looked at the direction, pretty time consuming but hey- it's once a year and he's special enough for it :)

Oh, my gosh, did you make that adorable cake? And what a great idea to have a birthday picnic near a train station! Wish I'd thought of that when my oldes was little. He was really, really into trains!
Happy Birthday to your 'big' boy!
