What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

More of the snake...

It's Friday and I have noticed that nobody ever checks my blog on Fridays so I think I am pretty safe to post these snake pictures without traumatizing anyone over the weekend. Personally, I think the little guy is cute! :-)

Andrew wanted to put gloves on to hold the snake so he got socks. First, I find this funny because Andrew is fearless. Just the fact that he didn't want to TOUCH the thing at first cracked me up. Then~SOCKS? Crazy kid.

Don't worry. He got over his "needing gloves" fettish. Since then he's been catching snakes like crazy. And you do NOT want to know what he did with one of them.

If I told you that it had something to do with his mouth-would that make you squeemish? Would it traumatize you? Would it cause you to cry like a baby and run for the hills?

I know it would me...so I don't want to talk about it anymore.

The end.

I sure hope that he just kissed it, and that he didn't put it in his mouth!

We've had some wonderful encounters with garter snakes around our area. We put one of them in the garden to eat bugs and such for us. It was neat. I wouldn't touch it though. Such wonderful learning experiences!

btw...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of a story about my Dad, who grew up in the Australian bush on a farm. He found a snake once, innocently picked it up, took it inside, and said to my Nanna- Look what I found Mum, What's this???
I wish I could have seen the look on my Nanna's face at that moment- it would have been priceless!

I do not like snakes...but am trying VERY hard not to pass that fear/dislike onto my children (frogs are another story!)
I hope you've had a wonderful week of family time!!
Blessings and Happy Mother's Day!!
