What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Just once!

Much to the relief of my animal rights' readership, no hunting actually ended up taking place. Not because the men thought hunting was sinful, mind you, but just because the day was too full of different things to do. The shooting that WAS done, was with various manmade targets.

I was visiting with the ladies, minding my own business, when Matt comes and tells me that he wants me to try target shooting with his 22. I politely decline.

I have never been a 'shooter' of animals OR targets. When I was like NINE I shot one of my Dad's guns at a range and the kick bruised my shoulder, and with it, my motivation to ever try that again.

He kept bullying me and so I gave in, saying "JUST ONCE. For you!"

"I am no good!"

"It will hurt!"

"You know how much I love you now, don't you?"

And a few more various comments were made as he dragged me begrudgingly along.

Not too shabby there, lady!

I actually enjoy target shooting, but havenever hunted. I'll leave that to the menfolk. ;-)

I've been lurking quite a while, and just love peeping in on your day occasionally!
