What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Oh, this one too!!! You are an amazing photographer! How can you be so good at so many things? I am only mediocre in almost everything I do, but it seems as though God has blessed you as a woman of many diverse talents, all of which you supercede! :)

Elizabeth...sigh. Do you understand how lacking I feel as a mother? Taking pictures is one thing, but what I worry every day about it answering my children's questions with widom and meeting my children's attitudes with appropriate guidance. Comparing the two-snapping an occasional nice picture means absolutely nothing.

I am reading this book called Stepping Heavenward and the lady in it has such godly mentors who give her such wonderful help on her quest to be more holy. And I doubt I could EVER say off the cuff the important things that people think of when the time is right. I wonder if I can ever be that kind of person...

I THANK you for saying I am talented. And especially at photography-since I can only DREAM about someday actually being considered one.

I urge you though, not to claim to be mediocre. The Lord has not gifted certain people with talents and certain people with none. He just varies them from person to person. Seek out what you are good at and thank the Lord for blessing you that way...and then find the things that you would LOVE to be good at, and seek to better yourself in that way. That is where I am with the whole being a Godly woman and role model bit. Boy do I need practice in THAT area!
