Yesterday Corynn wore her birthday bonnet for Sabbath worship. And coincidentally, she wore the dress that has a miniature version as well. Needless to say, she dressed Kelly up as a mini-wynn. She was allowed to take Kelly to worship with us, under the strict understanding that she would be WORSHIPPING with us...and so, she too must sit still and listen.
Goodness gracious-you should have HEARD all the people come up to us after service in order to gush about my 'twins'! I thought I had better snatch the opportunity to take a photo of the duo since I never did show the ensemble to you all after I had made it.
The bonnets are made from the same print-except Corynn's is WHITE background with red print and the dollies is the exact opposite. See?

My Grandmother used to wear bonnets like those and made a few for me when I was Corynn's age. I wish I still had mine. She is as pretty as a picture and a lucky girl to have a mom to make her such cute outfits.

Did you use a pattern for these? If so, what pattern is it? Munchkin fell in love with the bonnets and outfits!! They're adorable!
I love reading your blog it is always fun and encouraging, I had one question. When you said your daughter had to sit still to listen was that during the preaching or worshipping God?

Devildogwife-I sortof used a pattern. I used a pattern that was copied for me by a friend-so I don't know what the specific pattern would be or who put it out. I *think* I have seen that Simplicity has one but I am NOT sure on that. If you can't find one, I would be happy to do a custom order! winky winky! :-)
Rachel~thanks so much for you comment! I guess I could have been more specific. Our children stay with us during service and we have higher expectations for them. I don't expect them to be statue's or churchmice. I LOVE to hear them sing when all are singing and pray when all are praying. To see their participation is greatly encouraging and so, the sit-still and be quiet part really is for the preaching of the word. I like to ask questions about the sermon later, so that they are learning not just to sit still and daydream-but to sit still in order to listen and learn.

PS-Morning-you are most definately right about the dress up box! It is a large rubbermaid storage bin (the largest you can get I think!) and it is filled to overflowing! :-)
