What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Toss up

It is amazing what can get done when you really set your mind to it! I finished my entire to-do list for today...PLUS some. I vacuumed above the rugs-and under them, in front of furniture-and behind, the floors-and the walls, the baseboards-and the windowsills...and I even initiated special vacuum powder to give the basement a nice clean smell. Actually, I don't know that there is a possibility for even a SPECK of dust to be in this house now. Well, that is, except for my craft room. That is still a work in progress... But in just a few hours I have not only tidied but DEEP cleaned: the childrens' room, the 'grown-ups' room, the living room, and the entire basement. Hurray for me!

Again, it always amazes me how quickly things can get done if you set your mind to it. It also really puts me to shame-because even just an hour a day devoted to cleaning would keep a house nearly spic and span. And trust me, mine was far from it when I started!

I figured, since company was coming-I CERTAINLY needed to fix the house as it was in a state of disrepair. But I have also noticed the past few weeks, that my allergies have been kicking up a notch and thought it was due to the amount of dust. So, one thing led to another, and I chose a perfectly IRRATIONAL time to deep-clean...the day before company. Of course, it turns out to be rational because really, I am pretty much done now and I still have tomorrow to do any last minute details. The bathroom, kitchen and dining room will be my focus for tomorrow, I guess. And that pillowcase dress awaiting some stitches in my craft room.

I reward myself now, by posting a VERY select few photos from the pillowcase dress 'shoot'. These were the two 'finals' in consideration for my Etsy shoppe. I decided on the top one. If you disagree...DON'T tell me. PLease. :-)

I totally agree with your selection and believe a live model will help. Great job on the cleaning. Give your mom a hug for her and tell her that I miss her oh so much!!!!!

Congratulations on getting all of your cleaning done! That is something I'll be tackling again in the next couple of days.

That little dress is absolutely adorable - I love the colors. I also agree with your choice of photos. What a great model you have.
