What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Helpfuller

"Mama~can I wash the dishes for you?"

"Mama~I'll put my clothes away!"

"Here, let me help you stand up."

"Let ME make your bed for you! PLEASE?!"

"No-I'll get that...."

This girl of mine has the biggest heart, I tell you. A request is always on her lips to help me-and she often surprises me with help already gifted. The other day, my newly five year old did the day dishes all by herself. It was not the kind that needed to be done again, either, but a job that was TRULY helpful.

She blesses me so much with her wonderful spirit, I believe this is one of her special gifts from God. A willing and helpful heart I have never known. And yet, this was her prayer at yesterdays' lunchtime...

"PLEASE Lord, help me to be more helpfuller to Mama and to do things even BEFORE she asks me to do things, and to be a good helper for her now and once Bunkin comes too."

If only she knew.

Now that's precious! (Glad you recorded it so that you can go back and reread it when she becomes a teen. Ha Ha!)

What a blessing to be a mamma, don't ya think? I studied and acquired degrees to take on the world -- then I found paradise in my own little home-made world and never left the nest. God is SO GOOD!

Prayers for you as you bake in those final days. (I groan in remembrance . . . yet smile, knowing the reward will wipe away the aches of today.)

What a blessing!! My children sometimes want to help, othertimes they do it because they "have" to....and that's ok. I know there are things I don't WANT to do, but things need to be done, so we do them. I mean, really...who WANTS to vacuum?
Praying that she continues to be a wonderful blessing and more and more helpfuller each and every day! :o)
Blessings-Andie
