What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Me and Miss Addie Mae

Somewhere along the lines, her pet name went from Bunkin to Addie Mae.

Not Addie. Addie Mae. Which, ironically, has the same amount of syllables as Adele' so it isnt actually "shortened".

This is her nickname.

Unless Panda is saying it, and then it is "Adyay".

Interestingly, all are very fitting.

We have a Poozly Woozly, or a Woozle. And Monkey Children.
My sister Christina was dubbed "Bo-Bo" as a small girl, and to this day (she'll be 17 in August) she is still Bo, more than Christina. My littles look at me like I'm crazy if I say Aunt Chistina instead of Aunt Bo.

I have been Bon for as long as I can remember, occasionally, I am Bonnie, but not often.

I think Addie Mae suits that darling little wisp of a baby girl wonderfully!

My husband has an Aunt Bunny who is in her 60s, I think her real name is Gertrude but she was born on Easter so was nicknamed Bunny. Most of the grandchildren/in-laws don't know she wasn't named Bunny. We had been married well over 10 years before I discovered it wasn't her birth name.
My how Miss Addie Mae has grown! She is so beautiful! And cuddly! I just want to snuggle her. (Can you tell we haven't had any "littles" in our house for a long time?)
