What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

After the snake had gone from view, lunch resumed as usual. Yes, those are Hi C. What?!? Hi C isn't 100% juice? WHAT?!? They are mostly sugar and water?

Stop.

I don't believe it.

Had I known I NEVER, EVER in a MILLION years would have given it to them to drink.

Does the FUZE in the background make it better? I have never bought a 'FUZE' drink before but the bottle is smeared with advertizing the bazillion different vitamins and minerals added to it. And it is not sody-pop. Not to mention: Peach Mango?! I'm in heaven!

If only I had a nice tall glass, some coconut rum and it were 'On the rocks'. I mean, ice. Not literal rocks, because it actually WAS on literal rocks.

This is when I hopped down from the tree, and trudged to the end in order to take a picture. Corynn was interested, as always, in what I was doing and why.

And this is when I shouted in a panic.. "OUCH! The snake! It BIT me! ow ow ow." Jumping up and down.

Yeah.... that bit about getting your kids comfortable with nature?

Scratch that.
Me? A wise and good mother?
HA!

Did it really bite you?! See, you should've stayed in the tree. But then who would protect your little darlings. Hope you heal quickly, and it was a 'nice' snake!!!

Rebecca,
You are a great mom! Not only taking your children on adventure after adventure, but helping them to enjoy nature as well.

By the way, sorry to disagree with Grandma Bibby, but snakes DO get into trees. The climb into rafters of barns and such, too. They were cursed to crawl on the bellies, not to STAY on the ground.

I truly hope I can be that brave someday. So far I've gained ground with my godson by watching spiders and other creepy crawlies do there thing but I'm not sure I'd be able to let the larger stuff near...

I'm so glad it didn't get you. I try really hard to not be freaked out by snakes, but the girls both know I am scared. They think it's fun to hide fake snakes for me to find and "scare mom". I have found them in my sewing stuff, on my pillow, in my bed, on my shoes, and just about anywhere else you can imagine.

Lol! I'm glad I read the comments! I wasn't sure what to think when you said you'd been bitten. Does that make me gullible? :o)
