What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Hairy

The boys in this house have to be very patient in regard to hair-cutting.

I admit, I only ever (finally) pull out the clippers when they are somewhere nicely in within woodchuck stage but still shy of mountain goat status.

Holidays light a bit of a fire behind me though, so on Thanksgiving morning I finally broke down and got it done.

Most of the time, it is just laziness on my part...

but for the little mister~ I just couldn't do it.

He has beautiful hair!  He is my baby!  I didn't want him to look like a big boy, even though, he really is. (shhhhhh.)

But, it was desperately needed.  Case in point:

He was fine, albeit squirmy (Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving on YOUTUBE helped that), UNTIL a plop of hair landed on his lap and he totally freaked out like his limbs were being chopped off.

He thought he was going to die for a minute there!  But then- after the initial shock- he realized he wasn't losing limbs and all was well.

And now the Little Mister has a Big Mister haircut.  **sniff**

And now, the boys in the house are again little BOYS.

All woodland creatures remain where they ought- in the woods.

So cute! I had the hardest time when J.'s little gold ringlets came off. He looked s'darn cute after though, I wondered why we hadn't done it sooner. B. does the hair cutting here, I do the distracting/ hold them-so-tight-they-can't-wiggle.
I think your Judah is a ham. Yes?

They're both such handsome boys! Andrew looks like a little man and Judah is getting so big!

I procrastinate about haircuts, too. In fact, my 3 sons need me to get it this week! They're getting too close to that mountain goat status. ;)

Good job! Andrew looks so grown up! Sad to let go of the little boy in Judah, but so be it--out came a little man. What a darling.

I fear my oldest son's mop is reaching mountain goat status. Every evening I go to get my clippers out and something else takes priority - for over a month now!
Ok, tonight's the night! There.
(We'll see if I remember...)

Judah is getting big! Still adorably cuddly though. :P

Precious little babes and they are definitely LITTLE MEN - if you're scared of hairy things you wouldn't want to come to my house since we all look a teeny bit like flower children. My dad said he was afraid I was going to marry a mop when I grew up...and I kind of did...just a very handsome one. :)
