What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Magic

Just me, trying to sharpen my senses.

In honor of my birthday yesterday and because L.M. Montgomery just "gets" me, I'll leave you with these quotes that perfectly sum me up at 42 years old.

“I'd like to add some beauty to life," said Anne dreamily. "I don't exactly want to make people KNOW more... though I know that IS the noblest ambition... but I'd love to make them have a pleasanter time because of me... to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born.”  (Anne's House of Dreams)

“I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.”   (Anne of Avonlea)

“In my maturity, I've come to the happy, evolutionary opinion that I'm unusual, and I embrace it”  (Anne with an "E")

Happy belated birthday!!
And this post definitely brought pleasure to my life!
I just have to smile when I see your gorgeous kids, and that pink blossom tree is beautiful!
Needed some beauty after I got drenched on by bike ride back from town.
Lots of love,
And prayers!
