What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

I'm No Snitch

For a good long while, mum's was the word.  It nearly drove me mad, but I'm a good secret keeper.

The word is now officially OUT so I can joyously shout from the rooftops that the Lord blessed Corynn and Kemuel with a little Pipsqueak!!!  Due at the end of October, we can't wait to meet this little one.  (Oh, boy, is that an understatement!  What a gift!  What an answer to prayers!

 My girl is a Mama.

I am gonna be a Grandma.

Or a Granny.

Or, would it be weird, to be an Oma, if only by heritage and not by location?  Do tell.

When we were deciding Matt should be called, it was suggested (by HIM, by the way) that he be called GRUMPS instead of Gramps.

AH HAHAHA.  I happen to absolutely love it.  While it's hilarious, I am not sure it will (or should) stick.

Whatever he winds up being called, he will always be a GRUMPS in my book. 😁

I am absolutely thrilled for you! What a blessing for your whole family!!

We have a friend who is Oma to her grandchildren. She's from Michigan, lives in Virginia now, and the name suits her well. :)

Oh my goodness! Welcome to the club. Everyone tells you that it is the best and of course you know it will be but......it is even better than that!! I don't really care what I'm called but for now I go by grandmama. The kids call me mama so it fits. I worry it will take Ellie awhile before she can say such a long word but can you imagine hearing her beautiful little voice say "grandmama"!?

Sending all the love and congratulations!!

I have been reading your blog since your girl was a little pipsqueak herself. How the days have flown. I also remember reading about your Oma. So in my opinion there is no reason not be called an Oma when I am sure you will be an awesome one just like your own.
Congrats to the whole fam especially Oma and Opa aka Grumps
