What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Nate and Leia's Wedding (and the Swan Dresses)

The finished swan dresses...the last details finished the morning of the wedding.  ;-)

Ineke's:

Adele's:

And as long as we are showing off: here comes Corynn!

Just kidding.  She just likes to shock me when I least expect it.  She ditched the moustache for the actual wedding.  ;-)

Since we got dressed at the park where the wedding was held- a few minutes before it started so.... no REAL before pictures of everyone except of Corynn's hair.  I post it for Millie, proof she is a good teacher of braids.

A few days before the wedding, in my haste to photograph something REALLY REALLY cool I ran and grabbed my camera, not realizing that it was attached with a cord to the computer.  The cord caught and it flew out of my hands, across the room and landed with too-loud-of-a-THUD on the hardwood floor.  Ever since, it has been taking pretty crummy pictures 95% of the time and has a hard time focusing both on auto AND manual.

Needless to say, I've had less motivation to pick up the camera and take photos.   But I took a few at the wedding and quite a few more that were terrible.

Trust me, this amount of photos is showing serious restraint.

It was an outdoor wedding at a park and the entire week leading up to it was rainy and wet.  In fact, it has been rainy and wet since that day too.  That their wedding was so perfect, smack dab in the middle of this wet and rainy monsoon season summer is something of a wonder.

The day was gorgeous.

Hey!  The podium is Matt's first ever chainsaw sculpture of a mushroom that he made for Nate a few years ago.  (And last chainsaw sculpture- apparently it is WAY harder to do than it looks!)  That was so sweet to see them use it in their wedding!

Hey- who's THAT handsome bearded fellow?

And a few blurry photos for good measure: because those girls sure knew how to boogie!

Aww. Rebecca! Those DRESSES! And the wedding was GORGEOUS! My sister just got married last month and I took the photos for it. *bug-eyed* I was so nervous, but overall, they were ok! :) I'm so sorry about your camera. :(

Love those dresses! Well done, ma'am.

Millie saw this, and we all think Corynn's hair is beautiful. She looks so pretty, but I don't see how that blue dress is much less fancy than the seafoam green one! What a goose. :)

These pictures are wonderful and capture such a sense of joy. One would never know you dropped the camera! (And that boogie-woogie girl is worth taking pictures of even if your lens was completely cracked. So great!)
