What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Anecdote

I heard a raucous out on the porch- and Moses screaming at someone so I went out to the porch to see what was up. Following is the conversation that was had:

Mama to Moses: "Moses! You may NOT speak that way to ANYBODY. Screaming is not acceptable. If Adele' is bothering you or doing something you do not like you SHOULD talk to her, but you must speak to her about it kindly. You need to apologize to her for screaming at her that way."

Moses to Adele', while looking at his feet: "I'm sorry for trying to scream at you, Adele'"

Mama to Moses: "No sir. If you are apologizing to someone you look them in the eye. And you weren't TRYING to scream at her, you were SUCCEEDING at screaming at her. You need to apologize the right way."

Moses to Adele', while looking in her eyes: "I'm sorry I was succeeding in screaming at you." **

** The reason that this is so cute is because, as a four year old, he had not one whit of sarcasm, snark or disrespect in his voice. Just a boy being super literal, as boys are prone to do. **

** Also: No relationships were harmed in the making of this conversation.  As you can tell by the accompanying photos. **
