What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Dad's Day

We've intended to do a Cantrell family camp-out for years but something (many things) always got in the way.

We recently found out that my Dad has cancer that will involve months of chemo and radiation.  Nothing like a stage 3/4 cancer diagnosis to clear the schedule. And nothing like Father's Day weekend to honor Dad's wish to get everyone relaxing at a campground.

Not everyone was there at the same time, but almost everyone was there at SOME point. And it was fun! Here's to making this a yearly tradition- with maybe a remission celebration clearing the schedule next year! (Many people are praying it is so.)

This is the first time in over 35 years that Dad has been without a beard. Not too shabby, Dad!

This is me "working it".  Don't be jealous of my sultry beauty and feminine sway.

Look Matt!  Moses might walk just like you but he stands just like me.  ;-)

Your dad has an amazing support system. I will be praying for him and all of you. How is your mom doing?

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers!

Marybeth- my Mom is handling this with such ease, grace and faith. It is extraordinary. She really is one of the strongest women I know and she is the cheerleader that my Dad needs. Thank you for asking!
