What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Flower Children

There have been a whole lot of BROWN wood pictures on my blog lately.  I think it is time to brighten things up a bit...here are a few pictures on the last official day of 'summer'.

When hard frosts are forecasted, Mama says crazy things like "We need to make FLOWER CROWNS!"

And my amiable and long-suffering girls roll their eyes and subject themselves to my whims.

The very best way to welcome Autumn in.

Sweet Alyssum:

Corynn had a mere FIVE MINUTES before she had to leave to meet friends for a road trip... so I only snapped just these few.  She ran off with petals still flying from her hair.

She hates these pictures.

TOO BAD.  I love them.

Autumn Fairy Queen:

Something about this one reminds me of Baby Adele'.

                                                                            Little Floret:

(Ineke came up with these poses herself)

And not to be left out of the fun...

Pinecone Pixie

Very lovely! Our flowers usually are dead by our first frost (except echinacea which usually survive except hard frosts) but this is a grand idea! Lovely gals and sniff, sniff, on the baby picture of Adele’! The picture where she is holding the cat must be framed! Printed! (And a copy sent to Ella…ahem..)… I admit chuckling when I saw Moses with his “flower” crown…that was a surprise…hehe…so cute tho!

I’m loving these catch up posts!!!

You are raising three beauties and teaching them such lovely skills and practices! And your little Pinecone Pixy is charming. Those brown eyes--just melt my heart.

Your girls are such beauties, all three. (I just can't get over how womanly Adele' looks these days. Sob.)
And you KNOW how I feel about Moses. We're gonna steal him for good one of these days.
