What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Evolution

You'll never guess what Matt did today.

Well, maybe you will. I guess the CLUE is obvious enough.

Bring on the confetti, the horns and the PAAAAARTEEEEYYYYY music because tonight is a special night!

Matt came home and informed me that he was going to shave. WHAT?!?! Ten days before you have to?!?!? Are you feeling ill? (He shaves on his birthday in order to get presents, you see, and there is still ten days to go on that.) I was shocked...and thrilled.

Because he did it and because I was not the driving force behind it. I guess I am getting a little bit better in the nagging department? I hope...

He looks very...terrorist-like. Who knew a Newman could grow such a thick bush on his face?!? This is obviously the before picture.

This, obviously is not. Our tradition (along with the shaving day being on his birthday) is to be creative in the farewell. It's fun to see how many different persona's one can achieve just by altering their facial hair. In years past, he has been ghetto, biker, amishman-I mean, he REALLY ran the spectrum! This year it was a bit more tempered.

A simple goatee is the first step.

It's fun to see all the different all the different faces of Matt when he shaves! The "chops" have to go though :) Glad he's back to the young handsome fella you married ;)

He is SUCH a good sport! I bet you spent lots of time kissing after that was done!
