What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Look! Snow Sparkles!

Well, of course snow sparkles. This is nothing new. The NEW part, is that I was able to capture a *teeny* bit of that sparkle on film. Well worth the trudge in the snow. (Edit: Mattie tells me that he couldn't see sparkles in this picture. If you are like him-you can click on the photo to enlarge it and then you will-hopefully-be able to see them. He did.)

This weekend, very spontaneously, we had my in-laws over for a visit. It was short but sweet, as most visits are. Corynn enjoyed very much seeing them. It was like a second Christmas too, since they brought all of our gifts from the holidays. While we did OPEN them at Christmastime, in the month of their absence, we had nearly forgotten about all the treasures that had laid wait in Little Meadows. No longer! And I am SO excited to start putting pen to paper with my most beautiful and beloved stationary cards I received! I have been waiting rather impatiently, for them! :-)

On Saturday, Linda (an avid book lover like myself) and I went to check out Ollies, a discount store with a TREMENDOUS book selection. And we hit JACKPOT. Me thinks they bought out a homeschool or Teacher Supply store, because there was learning aid after learning aid there and all from 1-3 dollars! Needless to say, I stocked up. Ollies is a dangerous store for me, so I only give in to temptation on the occasion of a gracious guest!

This week has got me thinking about (and yearning for) a woodstove and how positively LOVELY it would be to actually be WARM in wintertime. Our landlord brought over the heat bill and said that our heat was less than 1/3 of what the previous tenants was. I am sure that is due in part to the cheapskates that we are, but it could ALSO be because of the BROKEN heaters. Ah well. I pine for spring and am thankful that MOST of this winter has been mild. Oh, to see the green earth and feel the WARM sun and not bitter breeze!

Off I go to have some lunch. Today is definately a *HOT* soup day. Probably with some hot cocoa. Yes. I think so!

I love your berry and snow picture- so pretty, and I do see sparkles :)

Glad you had a good time with Gary and Linda- two visits in 2 weeks, what fun (and work!)

We would love to have a woodstove the next house we buy! I love woodstoves, and they do help to defray heating costs too! :)

Nice photo! It reminds me of why winter is a good season, too.
