What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

Preparations

This weekend we are having company! When we first moved out here, it seemed every weekend we had people come-but that was just the first few months. Then it didn't just taper off-it stopped! I am glad to have Bob and Elizabeth (my Sis and BIL and their family) come to stay with us a whole weekend!

One thing that I really love about my Mattie is that he recognizes the great beauty of flowers and the wonderful addition it makes to hospitality. When he worked near a store (in NY), he used to surprise me with them every now and then and even when we moved here-out in the boonies, during the summer he would stop by the roadside and gather a few wildflowers.

Needless to say, I took the opportunity to treat myself for the occasion of my sister coming. These beauties, coupled with the $2.00 tulips from last week...my house is starting to resemble an easter bonnet and oh, how I love it!

Here are a few shots of my company flowers...now off to get cleaning! :-)

Oh Rebecca!! Long time no "see!"

SOOOO much to catch up on your blog! LOVE those bird haven ideas!! Now that we are in our new house, I think I am going to do that!

And we have had HUGE success with 100EL! I hope that you do too!

Well, we ended up staying here in CO instead of moving to TX, so we are here in the COLD (which to me is much better than HOT). I also moved (and am in the process of moving) my blog back to blogger (long story). I put up a recent picture of my little guy (MAN you are getting GOOD at photography - only thing left to do now is to open up your own studio!!!) on my blog.

Well, since I am staying here in CO, I don't have any more little boy stuff to send you (since our boys are so close in age and now I need the cold clothes LOL!!!). I am going through all the girls clothes again and paring down and thought of you, so if you want/need any let me know so I can box 'em off and send 'em out. Otherwise, I will pass 'em along to someone else. :)

Rebecca! How have you and your family been? I have enjoyed reading over your last few blog entries and 'catching up' with your life over the last little bit...we have been busy and I just haven't had the time to read blogs as of late. :( Maybe that is my New Year's resolution... ;)
Have a wonderful weekend with your sister...I definitely cherished the time I got to spend with my sisters over Christmas! I loved reading your posts about the bird tree you and Corynn made! What a fun idea. And your flowers are beautiful!
Lots of love and blessings,
Betsy
