What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. ~ Martin Luther

SURPRISE!

Oh-the whole world has been holding their breath; waiting in eager and infuriating anticipation for me to reveal my B.i.G secret. I can just tell.

Some of you had some pretty good guesses...I *WISH* I were getting high speed internet, and would be practically FLOATING if I could *adopt*! But alas, this surprise pales in comparison to those things. But it is still pretty good, I think.

Are you ready?

Are you set?

.........

............

........

Are you sure???

:-)

Okay, my big secret is....

I have a STOREFRONT now!

Or, atleast, a VIRTUAL storefront! I have 'opened shop' in Etsyville and look forward to having a good excuse for making all the things I make.

If I actually SELL stuff, perhaps Matt won't look with such disdain when I head out of the craft store with bags of supplies (as he does now...)

It all started when I made a Prairie bonnet for Corynn several weeks ago. It was lovely and I was so happy. And then, she tried it on-and it was too small. Immediately I had a little pity party. That is when I started contemplating the notion.

THEN~I made a pillowcase dress and bonnet as a baby gift, only to find out that said baby had already RECEIVED a pillowcase dress. Tsk Tsk. Couldn't give a repeat gift. Just couldn't bring myself to do it. Now what to do??? I loved the little dress but didn't have my own baby girl to convince myself I could keep it. THAT was the clincher. Now I had two lovely little things but no lovely little children to wear them. And now it was time to try my hand at Etsy.

So, here, my friends, is a personal invitation to peruse all TWO items I posted :) with a promise to add more to the mix soon. All sorts of lovely plans in my head...

Fun childrens bath towels, bright and happy sweater sets, prairie bonnets and vintage pillowcase dresses/sets galore!

So now, if ever you see something you might like me to make for YOU, let me know and I will see what I can do.

And because I am SO excited about Sgrbear724's Etsy (that's me, btw), any orders placed between now and August 1st will get an extra special handmade gift tucked within the package for free! Again, I will be adding to the selection as soon as we return from our weekend away.

So-there ya have it. I have officially entered into the crafters' corner of the virtual universe.

And I like it here! ;-)

EDITED to Add:

Well, after several (unfruitful) hours of trying to upload the photos of said bonnet and dress set to my Etsy shop, I have run out of time. I haven't packed our bags for our trip or prepared in ANY way and we must leave in an hour! So. At the expense of losing momentum, I must put a rain check on the photos. So much for an 'open house'.

Monday morning, bright and early, I *will* get those photos posted and I hope, at that time, you will stop by and visit. Check things out.

So sorry for the inconvenience.

This is me, the wanting-everything-all-at-once and trying-to-do it-all girl, signing off.

Rebecca - I can't wait to see your stuff. And, photo uploads are frustrating even if you DO have DSL. Believe me, I know. I still have problems which is why my blog has very few photos. I also have an older computer which is quite slow sometimes.

Have a great trip.
